Becky is the owner of Creative Playground. She has lived in the South Shore most of her life, which makes it very exciting for her to bring the idea and energy of Creative Playground to the area.
Becky started as dance mom to 3 amazing competitive dancers. Her passion for the Arts led her to role of studio owner. She is working to expand Creative Playground to include all forms of the Arts.
Becky resides in St. Francis with her husband Chris, 3 girls and their sassy lab puppy.
Ally started dancing ballet when she was 3 years old at the YMCA. When she was about 7 she started dancing at Young Dance Academy to take tap, jazz, and modern dance. When high school started, she danced 4 years for her high school pom pon team and won a 1st place state title her sophomore year.
After high school Ally went on to choreograph for teams around the state of Wisconsin. After 2 years of school and traveling, she decided it might be time to lay some roots down and find a coaching position. Ally started coaching at Raymond School and started their dance competition program for 6th-8th graders. From here, Ally went on to coach dance/cheer at Greenfield Middle School for 2 years. Shortly after, Ally got the call and she was the new coach at Martin Luther High School. Within her 13+ years, she won many state titles, including over 10 National Championship Titles in Pom and Jazz. Ally also started the Spartan Dance Academy that is a non- profit youth dance program for local grade schools and middle schools that may not offer a dance team.
Ally is also a certified judge for WACPC, IHSA, AIDA, & CSG organizations, and has been judging for the past 7 years.
Born and raised in Oak Creek, WI, Amanda began her dance career at Young Dance Academy, where she studied jazz, tap, and ballet intensively for 9 years. She was a member of the Oak Creek HS Varsity Pom Squad for four years, and earned the role of captain in her senior year. During her time in poms, she was twice named a Badgerette All Star and Badgerette Dance Star. These honors allowed her to study under top choreographers at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
Upon graduation Amanda continued to choreograph for area teams, including Oak Creek High School, Pius High School, and the University of WI-Whitewater. She has been a judge for numerous dance competitions and auditions over the years, and is an active member of the United States All Star Federation.
This is her second year with Creative Playground, and she’s excited to once again be working with the Junior and Senior level dancers!
Amy has been with Creative Playground as our Office Manager for about a year. However, Amy has been a Dance Mom for 5 years and a Team Mom for 2 years.
Amy has lived on the South Shore her whole life — and is so happy and excited to be bringing performing arts back to the area! Her background in performing arts including several on-stage productions and Forensics in Play Acting and Solo Acting.
Amy is also a Business manager for a family owned restaurant in Oak Creek, and just celebrated her 15th year there. Her motto is “Organization is the key to happiness”. She looks forward to creating with you!
Ashley Dorlack began dancing at age 5 and immediately fell in love. She began her dance career at Young Dance Academy and has trained in all styles, including jazz, lyrical, ballet, tap and hip hop. In high school, Ashley spent all 4 years on the Oak Creek High School Dance Team, and was captain her Senior year. Her choreography experience includes Pom, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop.
Ashley is currently a student at Marquette University, pursuing a double major in Elementary Education and History. She’s excited to share my passion for dance and teaching skills with Creative Playground!
Ella Bontempo began dancing at the age of 4. She began her training in ballet, lyrical, tap, hip hop and pom. When Ella was 8 years old, she was the youngest dancer to travel with the Wisconsin Dance Connection to perform in Walt Disney World. Ella has trained under Denise Wall, Stacey Tookey, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Jason Parsons, Ivan Koumaev, Dana Foglia, Will Lofits, Kathryn McCormick and Robert Roldan.
Ella has also won numerous awards including multiple best choreography, best showmanship, Platinum, Regional and National top 10 placements, various awards within the WACPC and her favorite — United States All Star Federation Dance Worlds Semi-Finalist.
Ella has four years of coaching and assisting background. She started assisting with the toddlers in the Pretty Princess class, to head coaching and leading the Tiny Team to 2 National Championships. She is excited to continue to develop her teaching and coaching styles, while still dancing!
Melissa’s daughter Sophie has been dancing since she was 2 years old. They began Sophie’s competitive dance career when she was 5, which is when they became a part of our dance family.
Melissa started as a Team Mom for the Mini Team, and is now an Office Manager, assisting Creative Playground with marketing, scheduling and other administrative duties.
Outside Melissa’s role as a Dance Mom and Office Manager, she has started her own clothing and accessory boutique — One In A MelieAnne Boutique. She is a lifelong South Shore resident with degrees in Business Management and Funeral Service. Melissa is raising 2 wonderful daughters and 2 sassy dogs with her awesome “Dance Dad” husband.
Rachel has been taking dance classes since age three, dancing at studios like Storybook Ballet, Madison Ballet, and the Madison Professional Dance Center in Madison, WI. She has taken ballet classes and workshops for 15 years (including 8 years en pointe), jazz, contemporary, and hip hop for 6 years, and modern for 4 years. Conventions she has attended include those at CoDance, Nuvo, River North Chicago, and MPDC’s summer intensive week. Some of her most memorable workshops have been classes with Judy Rice, Tyce Diorio, Travis Wall, Kenny Wormald, Kasper Krich, Cesar Salinas, and JP Tenuta.
Rachel taught ballet technique, contemporary, and extras at Creative Playground during the 2017-2018 season. She is excited to rejoin the team as a ballet teacher once again!
Danielle has been dancing for 10+ years and coaching for 5. She danced on the Martin Luther High School Varsity dance team for 4 years with a team that went to State and Nationals each year. They have won multiple regional, state, and national title rankings in pom and jazz. Throughout her individual high school career she placed in the top 5 overall in many solo leap competitions at Nationals. She went on to dance on the UW – Whitewater Dance Team as well as played on the Acrobatics and Tumbling Team at Concordia University Wisconsin. She is currently studying Human Resource Management and has been working at her internship as the HR Intern for 1.5 years. She continues to coach and to choreograph many competition solo and team routines, along with teaching and taking classes at local studios.
